Homebrew Wii U USB Helper issue

Hi there guys. I have a Japanese Wii that was region hacked. I have a large USB external HDD connected to it. When I download and install US games on my USB HDD some will run just fine like Splatoon and others will lock up when starting the game like Captain Toad, and Mario 3d. Any ideas on how I can fix this issue?

I think some games just don't work even with a region hack.
