Anyone else getting a Wii U update. Mine automatically installed and I cannot seem to find any information on it.

It seems to automatically update without asking now. I turned off automatic downloads but it still updated last time (4.0.3)

Not taking any more chances so I deleted my internet settings. I want homebrew.

I had to manually update my U. I didn't even get a notification that there was an update available.

The Internet Browser has a HQ button on the movie player, however it seems to not work properly on youtube videos that have embed blocks.
I see a few interface changes in the manual browser and the HOME menu too.

Is this a homebrew killer? I'm paranoid to turn it on now lol. I'd like to see it update if I unplug my router. :creep: HBC in vWii is unaffected right?

It has no effect on the vWii.

Good. But, there's no way to avoid it, huh? Short of unplugging the router. Well, here's to hoping there's still exploitable parts in the system.

You could have also disabled background downloading.

I thought I did....ah crap on a cracker :shy: I hope someone finds a way to block updates, but that won't be for a while I'm sure. I think I deleted my internet settings from the menu though, and the other WiFi connections around here are encrypted, so, I can't use them without their passwords. Our's is but too bad I deleted it. Not.

Does that actually work or will there be continuous nagging about an update being available?

I thought the OP said that it did it regardless, as it doesn't even ask anymore. That's pretty stupid IMHO, forced updating, bleh.

You'll be cut off from online until you update.

PS: My birthday is in 1.5 hours. And no that's not some lame April Fool's joke.

Ugh, I wish someone could figure out what to block in the router to keep it from connecting. That method works great on PS3. Someone had something to supposedly block in a topic awhile back, but it turned out to not work. Guess Nintendo is smarter than Sony (lol fanboy)

PS: Happy Birthday, Joostin! :grog: :toot:

Well, a lot of us are boned lol. And happy birthday! :D Unless I unplugged the router (which I have admin access to), but I'm pretty sure I deleted the online connection from the settings.
