Hi All!

I'd like to move my Wii U from Wi-Fi to wired connection.
Since the official adapter looked a bit expensive I've looked around and looks like the Wii U works with adpters with the AX88772A chip. Is that right?

Anyway.. I've an USB / Lan adapter with that chip. I've tried connecting it to the Wii.. but the light on the switch does not turn on.

I am not sure on the steps I have to do to set it up. I went to setup a connection, I've answered that I don't have wifi, then it asked to connect the adapter, I did.. and nothing else happened on the wii u. The light does not turn on on the switch and it keeps using the wifi.

What's the proper way to setup a lan adapter?
Maybe the one I have is not compatible (it's the Afunta AX88772A one).

Thanks in advance!

I would get a cheap 3rd party one. they all work the same regardless of some people bashing the 3rd party ones. my guess is that the one you got is not compatible as it should just work, as in allowing you to select it in place of a wireless network.

The problem is this one was supposed to work on Wii U (at least that's what's written in its amazon page description).
What's a cheap adapter that really works with Wii U?
