Hacking Wii u system update

I have just tried to update my Wii u to the latest firmware, during the download I received an error saying something like connection lost try again. I have now tried to go back into system settings to do the update and it just hangs at the system settings screen. I have tried to enter the eshop and that gives an error, I can use the internet browser and also still play my disc games and enter vwii mode. My vwii is hacked with the homebrew channel and usb loader gx are still there just that back in Wii u I can't enter the settings screen. Any help please
