Hey there,
so I bought a new Wii U. I already have a hacked Wii U with Haxchi and CBHC. My question would be if I can just use the built in Wii U System Transfer Feature, to transfer all data (including vWii) from my hacked Wii U to my new Wii U, or would that cause problems? Do I have to uninstall CBHC first before doing a system transfer? If a system transfer works can I download Brain Age on my new console, with the same Nintendo ID, and install Haxchi and CBHC?
Would be thankful if somone could answer my question :)

Don't delete your haxchi ds game you will brick your modded console. As for the transfer itself im not sure how to go about that safely...

While you are correct that there is a way to successfully uninstall CBHC, initially telling OP to simply delete Haxchi without any other information is an extremely irresponsible and dangerous thing to be telling them. It's good that you linked to what you meant here, but you really should have done so from the start.

My mistake.

Sorry for the late reply. I thought this thread was dead. Anyway.
Do I only have to uninstall CBHC or also Haxchi? And can the homebrew channel stay (I also have a vWii homebrew channel forwarded with Gamepad Support on my Wii U menu) And what about the vWii? Will it just transfer over with all the homebrew stuff or do I have to delete something on there?

I'd assume that only legit licenses transfer, so uninstall cbhc first. The content itself is not likely transferred, but I don't know for sure. You may have to reinstall everything.

When hacking the vWii, it doesn't modify the Wii U in a way, that deinstalling something on the vWii, bricks it, right? A normal factory reset would be no different as a system transfer I think. So if CBHC is not on the Wii U, a brick would be pretty unlikely I think. Firstly I will backup all my game saves (Wii, Wii U, Injections) and then I will try a system transfer, in any case something goes wrong. Can you recommend me a tool, to backup Wii and Wii U saves?

Thanks, I will backup my saves and after I have done the system transfer I will post a reply.

@Fingi Did you ever do the system transfer? What were the results?
