You welcome! I'm very happy for helping :)

That's good.. it seems you have a working haxchi right now.
To be sure of that:
1- reboot the console.
2- click on haxchi icon. it will come back to the main menu.
3- go to settings and check if your system version is 5.5.3 or 99.99.99 !
4- post here the results!

I thought it was totally bricked for a while. Thanks for saving it :)

It looks like the icon has changed to Haxchi and clicking this loads a screen with the Haxchi logo and then back to the Wii U Menu

Press A or B while booting Haxchi, might get you into HBL

haha I'm not gonna attempt to exploit my Switch for a very long time!
Why not? Hacking the Switch is half the fun! The other half is trying all the free games. :D Glad you could save your Wii U from that darn CBHC. Haxchi was a perfect homebrew. CBHC was perfectly unneeded. So many dead Wii U consoles.

that's perfect!
now you have everything needed to play that awesome games you have on the HDD!
everytime you power on the console you just need to click on haxchi one time, and you are ready to go.
cbhc is very dangerous and the only advantage is that you don't need to press it one time.

after some experience, you will notice you don't even need to click on haxchi to run most of the games you have!
you only need to click on haxchi to play eshop games or games with DLC. all the other games will run without it!
...but just forget what I said and get used to click on it after boot!

Cool, I'll just routinely click it :)

For some reason I had to reformat my HDD so I'm gonna have to re-download all my lost games. Grrrr

I'll let you know how I get on installing and playing one once downloaded and installed.

Once again, thanks for all your help

Why did you have to reformat your hard drive?

I'm guessing he put in it his PC because he thought it might fix his problem. (which it wouldn't) Other than that, there's no logical reason I can think of to have to format.

i haven't turned on my Wii U in a long time. i wanted to do a gamecube project on it to have all the games i want but been on current gen myself. Yes i have CBHC on it so hope it boots up.

Hey guys,

I've downloaded a few Wii U games using JNUSTool, transferred them to my SD card (SD://install folder) and installed them using WUP installer within the Homebrew Launcher. For some reason, after it says the game was successfully installed, the game icon doesn't appear within the Wii U Menu. I've tried a few games now (including some that worked before the all these issues) and none seem to show up within the menu!

Any ideas??

Thanks :)

I forgot to mention that my Nintendo ID has been removed from the Wii U. I've tried to re-add it but it's saying it cannot be added as it's already registered on another Wii U!!! Seems odd

Could this be the reason the installed games aren't showing when installed? Because the Nintendo ID I used to purchase the DS game is no longer registered on the Wii U?

Cheers

This post really saved me!

I had the same type of brick, and by pressing the combination A+B+X+Y, I managed to get into the Homebrew Channel, thus I was able to delete CBHC

When I first had bricked my WII U I thought I needed to do the hard mod (I don't understand anything about soldering), but I guess I really am lucky afterall

I don't know if your system had a cbhc brick if you were able to get into the homebrew channel. was this at boot?
