Hardware Wii u shuts down after few minutes

i havent turned the wii u on for months now all of sudden every time i turn on after 1 to 5 minutes it shuts down? my wii u feels hot any ideas

clean it its overheating clean out all the vents on the outside if that doesnt help take it apart and clean the inside

Also remove the rubbish thermal pads and use thermal paste instead. Instantly made mine a lot cooler to the touch
