Hello there. Didn't feel like starting a whole new thread just to ask this question. I recently got a used Wii U that didn't seem to be modded in any way, so I went ahead and modded the vWii, but when I did a Syscheck, I noticed that all of the vIOS are somehow patched with "NAND Access". Is this normal? Or should I revert all the IOS to stock?

i want to play zelda skyward sword but i dont have the Motion plus wii mote. Is there any creative Solution to play it nontheless?

maybe get skyward sword for the switch. you can use a regular controller with that as motion controls are mapped to the analog sticks iirc. I'm using the joycons though, and that first boss was hard as hell, but I beat him. flying is just a disaster with the gyro though.

So I dusted off my old modded WiiU to play Paper Mario Color Splash.

I own this copy legit (on disc), but I seem to have misplaced it during my move 2 years ago. So I'm now running a backup of it that I installed using 'Wup Installer GX2'.

Odd things is or probably not odd but I just forgot. I need to run 'Hakchi' before I start the game or it will give an error when I boot the game. This while for example 2 other installed Zelda games don't need Hakchi before running said games. Those 2 zelda games have been installed in the past using discs. Is it because they where discs or?

Just wondering what the difference is that I need to run Hakchi for Paper Mario but not for the other disc installed games.

I'm not sure about the correct technical side of the things, but...

The games you've dumped from the disc and installed on your Wii U already have correct signatures, certificates, valid tickets or something like that.
The other games that you download via NUSSpli or from the Internet require either have no certificates or have fake tickets, therefore requiring sigpatches to be used. By running Haxchi, I believe that sigpatches also get loaded allowing your games to boot while skipping those signature checks.
