It sounds pretty basic... I hacked my wii u using some
tutorials at first didnt really know what i was doing but
i got into the topic pretty far and started
to understand what i was doing and so on. I saw some
tutorials recommending to use cbhc i already knew
about the danger of a brick but most forums
said cbhc is pretty safe if you dont do any bad
mistakes. I just installed it and everything was working fine.
I installed two games via Usb Helper and
could play them without any problems for two moths
or so i stopped using my wii u bc i had a lot to da for
school now i wanted to install a new game
via usb helper and when i launched my wii u is stuck in
wii u startup screen i cant boot into homebrew vwii or
anything... Luckily i did a full nand
backup but as far as i know you have to hard mod
your wii u and i have no experience with hardware
anything farther than setting in a gpu ):
Another problem is cbhc was installed already when
i backed it up but at all it was running fine while
backing it up so i am not sure if i can
use this backup. There are so many memories
in this piece of technic i played hours of mario card
with my sister and we completed super mario bros new
like 10 times all this stuff cant just be lost pls help me somehow

not sure what could've happened. does it say "autobooting"? you can recover with a hardmod, but you either need a nand backup from before installing cbhc or the otp.bin, which you probably have if you made a nand backup.

No... I remember it always said autobooting but now it directly goes into wii u screen

somehow it's probably bricked then. I've been using cbhc for at like five or six years, play the wii u daily, and I've never had issues. I've even uninstalled it a few times, then reinstalled it after deleting the original game I used, and didn't have any issues there either, but I always checked if cbhc was uninstalled for sure first.

sounds like you have the 8GB system if the mlc is 6 parts. you need the slc.bin to fix the problem or just the otp.bin.

actually i think i have a 32gb wii u the files each are 2gb big so it wouldnt fit for 8gb over all i think the sd card i used was to small

there's a hardmod guide, but I wouldn't do it if you don't know what you're doing. wii u's are pretty cheap these days, especially just for the console itself without the gamepad, so I'd suggest you buy a new system.

the mlc is internal storage for the wii u. saves are probably in the slcmpt for the vwii. if you have saves from savemanager gx or normal wii save transfers using usb (data.bin files), then you can recover them.

what, there may be a way to get them, but I don't know for sure or how exactly. I think you can load the slcmpt with the otp.bin on the pc with nand extractor.

this may be them:

I think they're decompressed, so you could theoretically inject them with savemanager gx. I'd test with one game.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii

At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

    not really

It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.

RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
