I don't know, but that's a good thing about Amazon pre-orders in general, not necessarily for this.
what if you get a defective/damaged unit or the wrong part shipped to you, how long does it take to get a replacement?

double post

Depends on the shipping speed really and with Amazon you're 99.9% guaranteed to receive a fully functional new product as you've ordered.

Price is just right. Hopefully they'll price the controllers as sensibly (and give them decent cord length). I always thought that the GC controller was an overrated mess, only palatable due to following up on that nightmare from the N64, but it's still awesome for Nintendo to give those that want GC controllers the option.

When they make this they are probably make a software update where you can play game cube games which would be awesome because I have all these game cube games and I don't feel like hooking up my original Wii to play them and my game cube is hooked up in another room but its broken. (gotta get rid of it)

Huge advantage, you don't have to go to the store. It's hard enough getting out to buy groceries, making a trip for a little toy seems silly.

The only reason to go out to grocery stores is to pick the 'right' food (the ones which look to be in better condition) than to have it delivered home by pickers who couldn't careless how battered, what the expiry date or whatever.

For brand new games/accessories the best way to get them is through the internet because who the hell would want to waste their time to go down to a store and pay (probably) a bit more, have unwanted people around and/or a clerk who might somehow fuck it up (saying get Xbox One / PS4 it's better than Wii U and it has mature games liike Call of Duty).

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping too.

Why not just make your purchases in one trip, that's what I do to prevent extra trips to the store. I rarely make online purchases, why wait for the mailman to come, why send my credit card number off in to the digital wasteland? Broken/defective products get replaced as soon as I can drive to the store, no waiting for weeks to have something like that resolved. You gotta hand it to the internet, people don't leave their houses anymore. In the summer time I don't see any kids playing outside anymore. Everybody stays indoors now, internet, air conditioning, video games, cable tv. Shit, I don't even know what my neighbor looks like. The internet has made the world a better place to live. Now instead of one delivery truck delivering the goods to one location for the whole community, now everybody has the delivery truck going to their house. That will make an impact on the environment.

Needless to say, I'll have my wii u gamecube adapter the day it's released.

I got damaged goods (a couple of games (cases)) and they overnight shipped replacements the moment I asked. Then I returned the damaged goods free of charge :)

Is it compatible with all games? And does it need a disc in to play? I'll be using this when I get a Wii u

Its practically near 100% as every disc I have tried works, not like DIOS MIOS and NIntendont. Devolution has AP (Anti Piracy) and only works with Original discs you own. I have 40 discs that I collected over the years so its not an issue for me.

Once the disc (copy) is verified you don't need the disk afterwards. Plus as a Bonus you can play the Games on the WiiU Pad screen, which is a nice feature.
