It's not yet available on Amazon UK but it'll probably go for £20 or more, which I'll be fine as long as it works as I expect it to (that is to play Wii games and not just Wii U titles).

If this were able to connect to a PC, it sure would be a hassle dealing with all those wires
I hope Nintendo comes out with wireless controllers and/or allow regular wireless ones to work.

What's the advantage of pre-ordering from amazon opposed to buying at a retail outlet? I can think of disadvantages but not one advantage.

That's what I have been thinking about games preordering, people are throwing money at the screen without product even being out yet. Maybe same thing applies people have told me: you are one of the first one to get it. Sometimes tiny discount or in-game hat but those rarely apply to physical items and are worthless anyway.

Otherwise maybe it's more "hey this item is coming and it's about this price" but it may be placeholder price and release seems to be by end of the year so we'll see. If it stays ~$20/15€ though it's almost quaranteed buy even if it doesn't work with PC.

For Amazon, if you pre-order and at some point before the release the price drops temporarily you'll get it for that lowered price. Alternatively if the price goes up later you'll still have to pay the lower price.

And also it's a lot better to have it sent via post so it avoids going to stores unnecessarily.

so this takes up 2 usb slots? how many are there on the wiiu? more than 2?
if there are only 2, where will a hard drive plug in in the future to load isos off? :(
if one usb cable is just for plower it could be plugged into something else though.

Front 2x USB
Rear 2x USB

So you've got four USB ports to use.

I might get this....for my PC. But first we need to find out if it will work on PCs. As I understand it uses the USB interface, so I don't see why it wouldn't. It's just a matter of getting drivers for it. Heck if we're lucky, the standard HID drivers windows uses might work with this. :P

How much do you expect the price to drop, it's only $20 to begin with.
