Good evening fellow tempers. Recently I got Zelda BOTW (I know Im late) and was wondering if flash drive is alright to use with the Wii U. I have a 64GB lexar usb drive. I used a drive ever since I got a Wii U. I hear Zelda needs 3GB of space if you use the Disc copy.

Has anyone ever had problems using a USB flash drive? I dont really have the money to invest for one since 500GB is way too much memory for me. Also I hear Y cables can be hard to find the right cable for a drive.

A flash drive will work just fine. However, the way the Wii U treats the flash drive, there is an increased chance that the flash drive will eventually fail over time.

In other words, don't be entirely shocked if a few months from now, the flash drive dies. I'm not saying the flash drive will definitely die; it could go years without dying.

You should also make periodic backups of your save files (which is something everybody should do regardless).
