Gaming wii turns off fan working fine

so i was using my wii about 2 weeks ago playing it for like 15mins or so then it turned off i thought it was strange and wii was a little warm and would not turn on again so i tried the wii today and its working fine played it only for about an hr or so without problems from my google searches most people have said the problem im having is caused by the fan not spinning or not fast enough but when i have checked the fan seems to be working fine

but im really scared that this problem might happen again is there anything i could do to prevent this really don't want to buy another wii

If you want to try to clean the fan get a can of compressed air and blow it out, but before you do it stick a toothpick or safety pin though the grille and block the blades from spinning. Canned air can spin a fan faster than its rated speed and damage the bearings.
