Hacking wii - system update

Hi was just wondering with the wii system update.

WII: Hard-mod chip

If I update it, will it still allow me to play downloaded games? with chipped console - no homebrew channel. And the older games that I have got.


Also if the wi-fi not allowed on the wii anymore?? As I tried to connect to wifi and it wouldn't.

Personally, I wouldn't update it. If you ever decide to get homebrew channel, you can't after this update.

Isn't 4.3 that latest Wii System update? Last I checked, you can still get homebrew channel on 4.3.

But if you got a mod chip, I wouldn't update past 4.1.
