This is not intended to be an SM clone or replacement by any means. I had spoken with pune about this about 2 months ago and gave him the huge battery of questions. What I do know is that pune did keep an eye out for those certain banners that are known to cause issues and write the code being able to handle those things.
Just because that's not what pune has planned doesn't mean that isn't what will happen ;)

i told dimok i liked the app and it has good potential and he said there wont be any loader functionality if thats what you're hoping for. and i said so what else are you going to add and he said he's gonna fix the bugs with the banners and add the rest of the functions from the wii system menu. I said so basically you're remaking the wii system menu and he said yeah I guess.

Add hidden options (based off Settings Editor GUI) that aren't normally available in the actual Wii settings.

Off-Topic:
@JoostinOnline: speaking of which... could it be possible to show all the options by default without needing to accessing them through the wii menu.

The Wii settings button could forward to @[member='JoostinOnline']'s and @[member='stfour']'s Settings Editor GUI. Just an idea.

or it can be like the real system menu settings instead of a cool app with an ugly gui (no offence joostin, your app is awesome)
Lol, none taken I guess. You should try using themes, which you can find on the postLoader googlecode page.

I spent months working on that, trying to figure it out. Unfortunately, I was never able to do so without screwing up SYSCONF. I imagine someone like giantpune could do it, but I'm still very new to coding in C, as well as Wii homebrew. Maybe someday I'll figure it out, but don't get your hopes up. If not for stfour, the GUI would have been similar to AnyTitleDeleter or MMM (I changed the name from Settings Editor when stfour joined).

Anyway, let's get back on topic. :)

Just noticed this. Initially I thought this was some kind of a stripped down version of Dolphin for Windows. Then I downloaded it and realized this is an Wii app.
Good stuff, but I probably won't use it as testing banners and taking screenshots with Dolphin is more convenient, even though my computer can barely emulate the Wii at decent speed. However if this gets homebrew loading capability with a working screenshot function I would be tempted to check it out because the possibilities of taking high quality screenshots from homebrew are a bit limited currently.

Btw, at least we now know why giantpune had come up with the mitschwanzenegger and ohneschwanzenegger aliases (don't we?). At some point where there was a rumour about pune's gender, I believed that they were related, guess I was wrong, lol.

Well actually punes idea was to name it something like ohneschwanzenegger and i had the idea of mitschwanzenegger as it deserves it hehe. So you might want to not rule out the rumour completely yet :P.

It will not be possible to do that, because once homebrew is running, the previous code (SM, HBC, this) is gone, completely. It cannot have an effect on it.

That's true, this is not a replacement or clone and it will not have any kind of launching functionality (maybe homebrews only). We wrote this application after finishing our work on banner animation player. It is not very useful to normal users except you work on creating a wii banner animation. It's more of a demonstration on how the wii banner animation stuff works. It will be more useful to other developers.
Also you guys talk about this as if pune wrote the whole application by himself. FYI I wrote a big part of the application as well.

You are right, and I'm sorry for that. I've personally have never spoken with you before, but pune and I have chatted about this on a few occasions, and he certainly spoke about you being a major contributor to this whole project. So I would like to thank you for your role in this.

Good job to the both of you.

LOL so did I, I was like "What the-? Oh."

that means something happened while it was trying to read the resources from the nand and create the images and stuff for the cursors.

here a couple things to check
did you use an xml file with the 'no_ios_reload' tag in it?
do you have some system menu theme installed?
which version of the system menu do you have installed?

Completely unrelated... I would only suggest using a system theme whilst using a EmuNAND with s/uneek, but it's your choice really.

i made a little change to it and got it using a themed system menu from my sd card. i got "darkwii_orange_No-Spin_4.1U.csm". it loads up fine and many of the images are changed. but the cursors look to be the original ones still.

did you mean "got it working using a themed system menu"? Just wondering if the current version already properly supports themes or if it will in the next update.

thx!

it already should work if you have a theme installed on your system menu. i added in some stuff so you can have it load a themed system menu resource from your sd card if you want.
