Hi all!

ok. I have followed the instructions to mod my Wii.

Everything worked as planned, however now I want to play games.

I am very new to all of this and all the computer jargon confuses me. I just need a basic step by step, like the video above.

I have downloaded some games, but they have the nkit.iso or .gcz extension and I believe it needs to be .wbfs

I have a Mac and have no idea what to do next.

Can someone please give me clear instructions with no jargon?

Thanks!!

Hi there, unfortunately the tools avaliable for convert Wii files are only for Windows, so you need to use Mono for run them or get a Windows PC for that.

Anyways, here's a little help:

For convert .nkit.iso or .gcz to vanilla .iso, you can use NKit v1.4 tool by @nanook. Here in this link you can download the latest version which i've added the correct databases for the games.
For convert from .iso to .wbfs, you can use Wii Backup Manager.
For mod your Wii and install cIOS for play backup games, you can follow these guides: https://wii.guide/hbc ; https://wii.guide/bootmii ; https://wii.guide/priiloader ; https://wii.guide/cios

Hope this help ;)

Thankyou! I managed to get one game to work on USB Loader - Wii Music. It has the .wbfs extension as does Mario galaxy, but I read somewhere about the R64E01 number that needs to be there? is that a region thing? that's not in the Galaxy title.
Help?

Use wii backup manager and it will rename files with the correct title id's as appropriate.

That number code is the title ID for that specific game, the 4th digit E indicates it is a US version of the game (S for European, J for Japanese, K for Korean)
You're a bit wrong.

E is for USA/NTSC-U
P is for most games on Europe/PAL
S is for European games released in Spain (Spanish/PAL)
F is for European games released in France (French/PAL)
I is for European games released in Italy (Italian/PAL)
D is for European games released in Germany (Deutsch/PAL)
J is for Japan/NTSC-J
K is for Korea/NTSC-K

Hello,

I understand better for the versions, thank you @SaulFabre

and for this game ( R64E01 ), I can see that it has an NTSC-U version ==>https://www.gametdb.com/Wii/R64E01

in general the NTSC-U versions, includes the following languages => EN, FR, ES, sometimes only English.
