EDIT: SEEMS TO BE CAUSED BY WII SHOP DATA TRANSFER

Does anybody know what in the world this means? I cannot figure it out.

This happens launching the Wii Shop Channel on only one of my Wiis, and on that Wii I can no longer open the shop due to it.

No, the Wii Shop shut down after a supposed "maintenance" by Nintendo. It no longer works.
It works on my other consoles. You can still open it to redownload games you purchased before, or download the Wii U Transfer Tool or Skyward Sword Update Channel.

I can confirm this because a few months ago I redownloaded my Cave Story demo. I'm wondering if they actually just pulled the plug on the CDN almost 6 years after they took the payment servers down. I currently dont have access to my Wii at the moment.

It is not a Wii U. It is Nintendo support transferring shop games from 1 Wii to another.

They did not. They pretty much can't for legal reasons if we can't access what we paid for.
