Hi, I semi bricked my moded NTSC-J Wii. I really don't know how and when it happened, I just bought a Alien Syndrome and Escape from bug island game and updated my Wii using system update. Then both games worked perfectly and to my surprised when i was about to go my settings menu, it just shows a white screen referring to a error and the go to opera blah blah. Is there a way to repair my Wii? please help I am really new to this forum. Thanks

Did you actually "buy" the games you mentioned? Because if you run a region frii patched game on a different region Wii often there will be an update included which can semi-brick your wii since the different region firmware update is installed on your wii..........If that makes sense.

EDIT: Did the wii update via the games? Or did you do it through the wii systems menu. Also what current Wii firmware are you (if you can check or remember)

You need to find a NTSC-J game that has a firmware update newer than what you updated with. Try the newer NTSC-J games. I have a NTSC-US console so I can't help with that.

Can anyone else help...

I updated my Wii via System update, then the game performed the system update which will cause the Wii to play Bug Island and Alien Syndrome. the last thing i remember, is that my Wii is 2.2J, then i did the system update.

Was one of those 2 games from a differant region other than NTSC-J. If so reread my post above and keep trying new NTSC-J games it's your best shot.

Hope it works for you...

yeah Bug Island and Alien Syndrome are both NTSC-U games and requires system updates. Thanks for the tip, I hope a Jap Wii game with a 3.0J update. Last question, Is there a Metroid Prime 3 jap ver? I heard somewhere that game may contain a 3.0J update.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."
