So my Wiikey modded Wii wont eject the disk that it's holding. When I press the eject button the drive flashes blue light and I hear some sounds but nothing comes out. What gives? Anyone ever had this?

Yeah, it clicks. So I'm screwed here? Man, just before Brawl comes out this shit happens.

The game in it is still being recognized though and can also be played.

Hmm thats propperly something stuck inside the inner workings.....
Your drive is pretty screwed.
And if you return the Wii with the WiiKey removed you maybe will get a D2C......... So...... if you wanna risk killing the drive 100% try to open the drives metal plate and look for anything that could be stuck.
The more secure way is to remove the WiiKey clean the pads and return your Wii.

I've heard of the same problem before on an unmodded Wii. I don't think it's a very common problem though.
What game is in it?

Awww fuck, guess I have to call the modder back and see what he can make of it.

The game inside is a burned GC game (normal DVD) made with GCOS.

My little brother could have done that, of course he's not telling me that. So you just play Brawl now, didn't you try anything at all?

Well, to tell you the truth it's my little brother's wii, not mine

(of course he was the one who droppped it, so it's his problem). We have tryied everything but it won't come out.
Try asking your brother again, coz your description of the problem is the exact same as mine.

I had the same problem, game would play fine but every time I tried to eject the disc it would make the appropriate drive mechanism noises but the disc never came out. All I did was open it and manually take the disc, put it back together, and voila it worked for me. Try it!

Whatever you do, don't just pull or force the disc out.

There's a little wheel on one side of the drive, try turning that by hand and see if the disc will come out. You'll need to turn it a lot to make it move. If that doesn't work see if you remove the top of the drive to release the disc.

Basically use some common sense, but DON'T FORCE IT!

i'm not 100% sher but i think i'v read of this problem before
i believe it may be a burnt out resister that you have to replace or soled over making a jumper like link.
i'll see if i could find the info on the fix but it can be fixed.

Edit: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=50528 (theres a pic at the like)

HOWTO: Fix dead drive that doesnt eject/insert discs
Hello, my Wii-drive died for a while ago.
It didn't eject or didn't insert discs anymore.

However, some good guy found a fix to this.
What you are about to do is bridge a little fuse that doesn't work. Probaly killed trough the heat.

You can use a cable, or be desperate like me and just make a big soldering iron click over the whole fuse.

My camera did suck so hard so i couldn't take a picture of my own install, that's the guy that helped me out with this.

I can confirm it working and are now enjoying my backup games once more

I had it checked out today. Problem is the 2 little metal bars won't go down, so the disc won't come out. I suggested what pro2oman gave me, but the guy didn't think that would solve the problem. He offered me a new drive for 60 bucks, but I didn't go for it yet. Seems a little wrong to buy a new drive when the old one reads disks fine. I dunno what todo right now. Should I manually remove the metal bars? Definately not buying a new drive now.

For all I care, I open the bitch up when SSBB is here and put that game in. I think I could survive playing only Smash. Still. Gonna read that topic on MaxConsole tonight and see if someone has anything similiar.
