Gaming Wii Movie Ch Disc

My friend on Discord was talking to us about this 'Movie Ch' disc for the Wii. It looks kind of like this.

The problem is that his disc is scratched up and he can't get his Wii to read it. I hope one of you out there has a working copy of this and is willing to discuss what this disc contains. Thanks!

That makes a lot of sense actually, but it would be anticlimactic if that's all that's on it. I was hoping it would be some sort of unreleased/private video player.

I had a wii sports but it was scratched. I just couldn't use it for 2 years. Then I just clean it with a wet wipes. It actually worked. But every time I eject the disk I have to clean it.

If you wonder what this disc do, it installs wii + internet video channel to NAND that uses too much space. My Wii does not have that channel because they did not run movie ch disc on me before selling to me...

I don't think they use discs to set up Wiis at the factory. The Internet channel didn't come on any Wiis from the factory that I know of. It was added later and you had to buy it, then they made it free and refunded the points to people that bought it.

No, it doesn't. I've polished scratches out of optical discs with Brasso for years. If you're afraid of Brasso you can use silver polish instead.

I know, but Wii + Internet does not come preinstalled or just it did not came preinstalled on my wii. I think every channel has a disc so they can install a faulty console those main channels.

Pretty sure he meant the channel that shows you how to connect to the internet.
But I understand the confusion, it wasn't exactly a well formed sentence.

Having a disc polisher is far superior.

The cheap ones are pretty crap though. The good ones that professional shops use cost thousands of dollars.

Superior to what? Disc buffing machines still use a mild abrasive/solvent as a polishing compound.
