Hello and sorry in advance for the noob questions.
So I have an older Wii I wanted to homebrew so I can run an emulator. Now I did research on home brews an stuff an for every webpage I found with a tutorial every single tutorial was different. With varying amounts of steps. Some said just install xyz an your good. Others wanted for the same result 3 other programs 5 iOS versions an then this an that.
So basically all I want is to be able to run an iOS of fire emblem radiant dawn and monster Hunter off of a flash drive thru my wii. With minimal changes to the system. Don't care about looks I just want to be able to run the emulator thru home brew an load off a flash drive . But j still want to be able to use the Wii like normal via the disk drive for games an my Netflix app on it. And I'm wondering of someone with experience can tell.me exactly which programs an steps i actually need to do this. Cuz I don't really need the bells an whistles if you know what I mean.
So far I did the standard homebrew channel install.so I have the channel an it's all good via letterbomb.
I installed bootmii as iOS cuz I have one of the wiis that doesn't have the GameCube controller ports or memory card slots on top an it couldn't install booting as boot2. But i still took a back up.
So I'm wondering what I should do next so that I can:
-eventually do a restore of the back up if needed
-get a usb loader to work
-play radiant dawn an monster Hunter.
I have:
-updated Wii to current version before starting
-homebrew channel installed properly
-bootmii and a backup
-i downloaded homebrew yesterday from the site so i assume it's up to date
-ios58 is currently on the Wii i didn't touch anything yet with it
-and I have a rvl-101 Wii . No GameCube support or controller ports
Also bonus question after I install these things from the sd card do i still need that sd card or is homebrew am bootmii now fully on the Wii an I can erase the sd card. Am what format should the flash drive be in fat32 or ntfs or does it not matter?
Thanks I'm advance for your help guys .
