Hi. Just an idea for an application, I've no idea whether it'd be possible or not, but it doesn't seem too impossible.
Basically it's a dol that will search for your connected iPod through USB (like USBLoader GX searches for your HDD) and then once it's found the device it will come up with controls on the screen to control the iPod.
Basically like using your TV as an iPod dock and using your WiiMote+Wii as the Remote.
Good idea? Possible? Already been done? I don't know
Just posted as I thought it'd be nice.

This sounds like a nice idea

I don't have an ipod, though...

Sounds rediculous to me. There is actually a media player you can use on the wii anyway. The coding involved in getting a nintendo machine to talk to an apple device, when there's already a decent music player out there already.

well, i have to say, while it would be cool, i think it is very impractical, and that coders time could be spent on better things for the wii, but thats just my opinion. Now having said that, you should check out this website.

Someone has already gotten a wiimote and an iphone to communicate with one another... so i guess anything is possible

I think there are open source libraries for iPod library format and like that. MPlayer-Ce can already read iPod's memory, it just cannot read the library format. All the songs can be played, but they are named wrong and all. But I think MPlayer-CE authors have a lot more important things to do than that.
