Awesome! I've been looking for one of these. Not really for the 1080p, but because the HDMI connector will suit my home theater setup better.

it won't magically output your wii to 1080p BUT it will make your wiis colors sharper and more vibrant. i use something similar a component to hdmi converter i picked up on ebay for $50. they are better to use than component though so grab one and a hdmi cable just not the VD-W3 cos $75 is a ripoff!

Name?
And I will get this when it is in stock.

Its hilarious what kind of controversy erupted because of this thing, just because people have no fucking clue about what they're talking about and what the thing does.

It will not make the Wii magically output a higher res image. The Wii still spits out 480p. However, it adds a hardware upscaler with HDMI output between the console and the TV, so the device does the scaling and not the TV. Because TV scalers suck, this improves picture quality. A bit.

like i said b4 it will make your wiis colors sharper and more vibrant and that's about it. it still looks way better than component though.
