Hacking wii gamecube discs.

I have a softmodded wii. There are two gamecube games ive found that dont work properly, so I bought the discs. Sanities requiem and star fox adventures. So, I pop sanities requiem in. I cant load it from the disc thing. I had to go into wii flow and it asks whether i want to use usb, or sd. There is a 3rd option "disc in tray" I think. Well I got it to work, because I was able to progress in the game somewhat. But now it hangs on the loading screen. I havent tried Star Fox yet. But can anyone PLEASE help me? Thanks.
