Hacking Wii dvd-r

I have some Sony dvd-rw can i use this for the backup launcher and what is the dvx thing can i look dvds with it but will it not screw up mine laser?

dvd-rw = rubbish
dvd-r = Great

not sure about the -rw just use the -r and you will be ok

re-writables dont work
writables do work .... your welcome to test out the theory and get back once you have a headache if you want to try re-writables , but dont ask any more questions about them as everyone will say dont use dvdrw

just test things I have done too,I ve tried dvd rw and nope it wont work dvd r works really!I tested it.

i have yet to have a problem with my GE DVD+R 's when i burn at x4 speed for each iso (ive burned about 30 or so iso)
