Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

Hacking Wii DVD Drive problem.

My friend has his Wii modded with a Wiikey and we were playing Smash Bros. Brawl fine until last night when it gave an error adn then ti didn't want to read any burned discs. My friend opened up his Wii and foudn a wire that was loose and tried to fix it. Apparently he burned some of the points down and it doesn't' want to get soldered anymore and now his eject button doesn't work. Is there any way we can at least fix the problem so the eject button works again?

apparently this is pretty common. happened to a friend of mine. he ended up buying a replacement on ebay for like $120 o_O

he had had a game in there so he unscrewed the top of the DVD ROM drive and just took the game out manually.

i THINK its fixable, but i have no idea how. something with a burned fuse and wiring over it or something.
