EDIT, for people question, this downgrades to anyfirmware you like. from around 2.0 upwards

EDIT2: READ ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok a lot of people keep saying "i want to install X.XJ on my X.XE wii" DOING THIS WILL SEMIBRICK YOUR WII, IT DOESNT CHANGE THE REGION CODEING IN ANY WAY,YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY IMPORTS BY DOING THIS AND YOU WONT HAVE THE SYSTEM SETTING, SO STOP ASKING AS TO WHY DOING A DOWNGRADE TO A DIFFERENT REGION DOESNT WORK.

thanks to Infinity-X for the translation

and thank you Condukt365 for the mirror

both apps cant be found

Does this work? If so, what does it downgrade to what? I have 3.2, which I'd believe is the downgrader destination anyway, so I won't try this myself. Could be good for people who upgraded to 3.3 though.

QUOTE(Christen @ Jul 27 2008, 12:03 AM) So, what firmware exactly does this downgrade to?

How would downgrading from 3.3 to 3.2 affect the homebrew/cIOS already installed on the system?
it doesnt from what i can tell, im on 2.1E and everything still works fine, there are some system menu glitches but nothing major(channels get mixed up)

If the 3.2 it installs is the same as the official one was, then it won't affect homebrew at all. As for cIOS I don't know.

EDIT: There is also a cIOS Uninstaller v1.1 on Waninkoko's website. Anyone know the difference?

I don't really see a point to this for most people..... care to enlighten me?

I mean, I understand the future potential.... but what immediate use does it have?

not everyone will see the other post, but it should enable the wii freeloaders again, and unblock the sd gecko i beleave in GC mode, i think it was blocked anyway, and trucha disks with out the need for geckoOS
EDIT, its also a nice semibrick fixer

--removed--

I forgot about the Freeloaders. :x

The only use i see for this so far is to downgrade IOS30. After that, trucha signed games should work again under 3.3 without geckoOS.

Would someone mind uploading this package to rapidshare or megaupload or something, for those of us who can't read the Spanish in the forum in order to register?

Can someone also put up a link or PM the rev 3 IOS, tried Google and no luck and Im not authorized to snag it off their forum.
