Hardware Wii DAT for Offline list not updated in a while

My offline list for Wii is stuck at 0665 - Baroque...Anyone knows where I can find the latest updated version of the dat?

Ya, it isn't updated for a while.

I am thinking of programming a auto generated offline list.

however, i would need a site that contains data of offline list

http://wii.ds-scene.net/ seems to be a good source however the best way is to have a database that will keep updating.

I gotten data from http://www.abgx.net/ and stored

into my database

This isnt that great for offline list though becuase I am still missing data.

I am thinking of maybe trying to craw though the http://wii.ds-scene.net/
That way I can get the game name and language. also the boxart. and screen shots.

Still will be missing the company and location. location might be able to be decoded by the region.


I don't think wii.ds-scene will be that happy if I parse though the site to generate an offline list.

however they are not responding to my post on their forum.

What do you think i should do?

well i just wrote a spider to parse the release list of wiidsscene now. And the data will be going to my database

Than from my database I could generate an offlinelist file.


Problems I am going to have is crc check which i am just going to fake it to use fake numbers.
Also the images I need to later figure out a good way to get it.

The location of the rom, this is going to be tricky I think. I not sure how I can really tell which location it is . might be based on region but region code I not sure how to decode to right locations for example if it is german.

I like offline list where it shows a list of isos released.

Sucks that it isnt updating anymore from the other guy so I am coding this to try to use the wiids scene website for the list

I just make my own and store it on my computer, has a lot more information than any of these other lists, but I guess you don't need it, it's just something I like to keep track of

I received your PM, thanks! I think we can build up the list togheter!

I also need some more information about the games (not the ISO) such as game type (if it is sport, RPG, etc), number of local players (if the game is multiplayer), internet play, and so on, but I need just for the US or PAL releases (any of them), no need for all titles.

But it would be a pain if I needed to browse one by one via a game site like IGN or Gamespot.
Do you know any place that has this kind of table information I need?

not really because some games fall under multiple categories, and some are classified in a gray area as it is....though I'd like that info too, good luck with it

Are either of you going to make the OLL dat available for download? Psykos told me via email he wont be updating

"The project is stopped but if some body want to finish it I will send to him all informations an source code"

For anyone considering taking this on, be aware you need to host the DAT file for download somewhere and ideally the IMG files for the box art also. No idea how much bandwidth this uses.
