Hacking Wii Custom System Menus - 4.3 - Any tips?

I've been looking at a few custom system menus, and I must say. They are freakin' awesome. I saw a few, but to my dismay, they were ALL for 4.2 and below.

Is it impossible to create custom system menus for 4.3 Wiis, or have I just not looked hard enough?

If someone could point me to a few guides, tools and tutorials, that'd be sweet.

You will find more compiled themes for 4.1 because it is considered the optimal System Menu. It has all the features of 4.2/4.3, but without the anti-homebrew crap.

Download ThemeMii for compiling the themes and MyMenuify Mod for installing them. Both can be found in the theme thread linked to earlier.

That's just custom health screens, for proper themes, ThemeMii is the way to go.

It's just that the themes are different for every version of the menu.

Not a lot of people bothered upgrading to 4.2, and even less to 4.3.

Except for all the people who think that games/channels are system menu dependent and people who think newer always means better, lol.

Thanks, checking out the link posted earlier.

And..I upgraded to 4.3 accidentally. Friend updated it due to a game saying that an update is mandatory. Everything seems to have worked fine for the past year, so I don't get it when people say that 4.3 has all this anti-homebrew stuff.

Chances are, I'll come back with quite a few enquiries momentarily.

That means you are probably missing Priiloader, several cIOS's, bootmii as boot2 (if you had it and updated from 4.1), and bootmii as IOS (unless it was updated first).

Your Wii is clearly lacking brick protection if you even got prompted to update. I suggest a softmod with ModMii. There is a link in my sig.

there are no differences between a 4.1 and a 4.2 or 4.3 theme apart from the base app used to create the csm file

all the themes in my thread will work on any 4.X wii
