Hacking wii connect24

sorry if am sounding noobish i am really, av managed to softmod my wii everythings great
and i was 2 belive wii connect24 needs to be switched off
so my question is are you still allowed to play online with friends with backup's as i thought u need connect24 on to
do so

I didn't understand very well what you said but what I understand was that you want to know if you can play online without the WiiConnect24 turned on...
If that's the question, then yes you can play withpout the WiiConnect24

i tried a few games with it turned off and i got an error on every one as well - so i turned it back on again and all was ok - it doesnt bother me being on to be honest.

i never turned off mine either! but if you want you can do this... Before you play the game go to Wii settings and turn it on... When you done playing go to Wii menu and turn it off... Simple

they wont even auto update you when been on 3.4 i bet, under 3.4? i would never question myself about wiiconnect24....

To back up my original question taken from Wii Softmodding for Dummies v2.2.2

softmodding your Wii it would be a good idea to turn off your WiiConnect24. It will prevent
Nintendo from sending you updates and blocking your softmod.
Also

Turn off WiiConnect24 and never update your Wii anymore. The main purposes of Wii Updates are to
prevent hacking so I believe you’re not interested.

so i take from this leave it off, can you back up your reason why i should put back on, yes i would like
to be able to play online but i would do with out if it means saving my wii
sorry if this is all noobish i just wanna get it right

also just been informed that nintendo updates even when ur not on.
