Ok, now that BootMii is out i'm starting to wonder about Nand Backup/Recovery feature. However, lets say you have a Wii, you back up your Nand, then get a new Wii and use BootMii on that and use the Recovery process put the backuped nand on this wii.

So basically, youll ahve too Wiis with the exact same numbers and stuff, Im just wondering if this could be a problem, especially online wise?

Why would your Wiis have the same serials? They won't
Dont worry about getting the nand backups mixed up either, cause the Nand backup restore on bootmii has protection against this and wont let you do it

It's not possible to use another NAND backup on a Wii other than the original Wii. Each Wii has a unique key that prevents cloning and as of yet, and most people think it will stay this way, there is no work around for this.

You wouldn't be able to in the first place. The two Wii's would have different keys, so you can't use nand.bin's from Wii's other than your own to do a restore.

Edit: Beaten twice

Most keys are stored in the Wii outside of NAND. If you would flash someone else's nand.bin to your console, it wouldn't boot (well, it would, but bricked).

ouch yeah lets not do that

What if i wanted to transfer Miis and saved games that require them like WiiFit to another console?

Transfer Miis via wifi/connect24 or Wiimote transfer like the Ninty intended it to be done? Save games can be transferred via sc/gc memory card again like the Ninty intended it to be done?

Am I missing something here?
