QUOTE(Stylpe @ Sep 19 2008, 06:56 AM) So I see a lot of people using +R's, but any reports on using -R's? Don't want to waste any of my precious Taiyo Yudens

-Rs are more supported by DVDX than +R, so yes, -R works.

For the love of god at least please everyone who just installed the softmod do us the favor of not going and telling everyone you're a 1337 hax0r because you installed a wad. Waninkoko did all the work. Don't be a prick. I'm tired of hearing over nine thousand ***ts tell everyone they know how to hax because they flashed a psp, let's not repeat the same course of action.

Can someone help me install the custom CIO, i forgot how to do it, it's been so look since i turned on my Wii.

Worksssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

welll this is what i have done on my ntsc 3.1u (no modchip) virgin console :
0) copied smg(ntsc-u) to a folder which has 2 file backup-creator.exe and common-key ,and then created a file partition.iso and burnt it on a dvd
1) used wad manager to install the CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad
2) installed DVDX -> IOS 249
3) execute wii loader from homebrew channel and then i am getting an error : ie

-4100 Error

WTF!! I go to sleep, wake up and some moron has released an unstable version of this!! hopefully something goes wrong then all the impatience that happened will make people think next time not to just jump on the band wagon..

I'm waiting for an official release, at least by then bug fixes etc should have been sorted partially

Havent you got enough already? It's over. You can't make people stop using this, it's now all over the internet. Even posting false rumors about possibility of bricking wii will not do.

btw i think that the delay for the final release is becouse waninkoko is trying to get rid of the dvdx libraries, wich should be the main reason for most of the game compatibility problems...

just my 2 cent

I wouldn't be so quick to call the bricking false.

So tell me your secret way to stop people from using that? If its a kind of timebomb, it would be nice if you just make an annoucement because bricking people's stuff is never good (i.e darkfader's case).

You are the biggest moron I have come across on this site, take your bad attitude and your complete wankness and bugger off it's damn right annoying.
What people don't realise is that this IS NOT fully tested or stable.. just imagine, 50,000 bricked Wii's by sunday, who will get the blame? Waninkoko? it's not his problem that you just WANT WANT WANT, all his hard work is nothing to the majority of people. Nothing is good enough for people like you.
