Did you even bother reading what the press average entails? Probably not, since you keep referring to it as "IGN's rating" (If that were the case, then feel free to link to their actual review, since it's nowhere to be found in the game profile). Try actually going to the Gamestats page by clicking on the "score," and you'll see that both of the ratings that make up the "Press average" are from video reviews by GameTrailers and XPlay that are CLEARLY about the XBox 360 version that was released last year. It's pretty clear that the aggregate site mistakenly listed the XBox 360 reviews under the Wii section, even though they are supposed to be completely different games.

The Wii version got some decent reviews actually, I think Nintendo Power gave it an 8. The controls apparently work very well.

Also, this aims for a more "realistic" boxing, while Punch-Out!! is more of an arcade experience, so, you can't really compare both games.
