Its games like these that make the Wii look bad, at least to the core gamers. Who wants to press a button to do pretty much everything, I could just play Yahoo! Pool if I wanted to do that.

Could it possibly be 8-ball rules then?

8-ball rules: The first sunk ball determines whether you are only allowed to hit striped or solid colored balls. After all of your colored balls are sunk, you then proceed to sink the 8 ball. If you sink the 8 ball at any time other than at the end, you lose.

Finally a Good Pool game. I really like it... sure it could've been better with Online play, but I don't mind, I rather play with my friends in my living room... or theirs lol

Good diversity of game modes (8, 9, bonus 9, 15, black jack, killer, and others which I dont remember). I really didnt like Wiiplay's pool only because of the lack of game modes... 9 is fun but dammit I'm an 8 & 15 game mode player haha

Lotsa decent options with differents balls, table, cues to unlock... useless since I doubt different cues and balls are going to make a real difference in gameplay, but still cute to have :-)

As for controls you can have your basic button set to adjust precisely your aim & power (D-pad = Aim, Hold B + D-pad Up/down for power) or you can have your free aim/power with the motion (hold button A + point for aiming, hold A & B + swing back & Forth to hit). I like the combination precise aiming with d-pad & motion swing for hit :-)

Only thing that annoyed me was the music... thank god I found the Option menu in-game (press and hold 2) and shut the music off.

Game highly recommended for pool fans :-)

This game is an absolute pile.

Alright thats a bit harsh... It is a decent pool simulator, you can pull some basic trick shots, etc. The interface looks really pedestrian, to the point where I feel like I'm playing some old PS1 game. Cheesy music, cheesy everything. But its pool right, I mean who cares about all that noise if it plays well. Well as I said the simulation is decent, the controls are a bit funky, but its possible to play a game of pool and not have any annoyances. But then I took a shot and the 7 ball crawled slowly into the pocket and HOVERED over the hole. HOVERED. I had to hit it with the cue ball a second time WHILST IT WAS SITTING IN MID AIR ABOVE THE HOLE until it finally complied with the better parts of Newtonian physics. Hasn't happened again, but I wasn't impressed.

If you like pool, pick this game up. But otherwise its probably not worth it.
