Hi, I bought the connector when the WIFI network started, it always worked perfectly. I stoped playing my DS online so I didn't use it much. When I got my Wii I used it for WiiConnect24 and it worked fine. But then it stoped working randomly, so I just used my wireless router to connect my Wii, but now that I want to play with my DS I can't install the software no matter what version. It seems I have two problems, the first one is that when I get to the part when I need to insert the USB Connector Windows detects it and open a dialog to install the drivers, if I cancel it, the nintendo software finish installing but at the end there is an error it says Please Connect the WIFI Connector but it is still in the computer.. I click ok and it says application Error. If I use the Windows window to install the drivers then I get the Internet Sharring Error. I tried every solution I could find in these forums but still nothing works. I really need to get this to work because even if I downgrade my router to WEP it still isn't supported by my DS, that's why I bought the connector in the first place. I'm running Windows XP SP2, I tried it in every USB port my PC has(all 8 of them...)I edited the registry, I restarted services, I shared my internet connection and other stuff I can't remember, I'm really out of solutions. What is weird is that it stoped working randomly, I didn't even install anything.

What I never saw mentioned in the WIFI website or this forum is windows detecting it while installing and it opening a driver installation dialog. Also, after the installation is "Finished" it detects it as a new network connection like Local Network 9 but the number changes everytime. The software never remains on the PC only the drivers.

Wow that was a long post... but I wanted to say everything so I don't receive solutions I already tried. Thanks for reading it and sorry for my poor english. I hope to get it working...

Thanks

Do you get some sort of Error Codes on your DS? I suppose you haven't tried connecting to it via the DS, seeing as the computer app doesn't work.

Maybe your dongle is defective?

Oh, just one thing, the DS DOES support WEP, I use it on my wireless router, so there is no problem there if you can't get the dongle to work.

I know this is a stupid question but did you SoftAP it. My friend tried that and it didnt work so maybe something has gone wrong when you sofAP'ed it. Thats my 20 cents on the matter

Yeah I know WEP works but my router model isn't compatible with the DS (Trust me I tried every settings I could on the router before purchasing the Dongle).

When I removed it from the computer the first time I used the program SoftApUnist.exe. You think this could be the problem? How would I fix this?
