    hey guys...

I just got my AcekardRPG a few days ago...

I was playing Tenchu Dark Secret (pretty bad game I know) and I was trying to log on to the WiFi to trade items.... it made me save my wifi settings and then it kind of froze up ... when I tried restarting the game it said my save files were corrupt. =\

I thought the WiFi on the ARPG was supposed to be pretty flawless?

    what's the deal?

is there anything I should be doing differently?

will this happen with ANY game I try connecting to Wifi with??

    thanks for any info...

Yeah that sometimes happens to me on my old AK2. Usually I would just take out the card and restart the DS a couple times and the problem would fix itself. So try it, and post back on your results.

wait... what would fix itself? you mean the game save would eventually become UNcorrupted? or that the game will eventually be able to connect to the WiFi accurately?

I mean, really I'm concerned with how frequently the game saves will get corrupted if I try to access the WiFi..... I don't want to have to back up my saves every time I connect to the WiFi, ya know?? =)

Try some other games and see if they work.

Where did you hear that? There's definitely issues but not much posted about it; large single player community.

Mario Kart seems to work fine over the WiFi.

ROM Troll - care to enlighten me on said issues (and any fixes)?

is there perhaps a set of firmware that aids WiFi capabilities?? thanks....

Just posting based on my experience and assumed I was not the only one, but no one else is complaining so I could be. Since we received our three Acekards (1xAKRPG, 2xAK2) in June, I have not seen any attention given to wifi issues from firmware modification hobbyists or Acekard.

Mario Kart multi-player doesnt work for us when there is more than one AK2 in the mix so we only play it with one AKRPG vs one AK2. There's been games where AKRPG vs AK2 doesn't work but AK2 vs AK2 does and based on the number of times that situation happens, I'd give AK2 a slight edge as being better at wifi than the AKRPG.

My AK2 WiFi experiances (online, not local):

    Mortal Komat: Fine
    Tetris DS: Fine
Yu-Gi-Oh: 90% Fine Dueling with patches off; 100% fine downloads
Mario Kart: Mostly fine, some random disconnects (which, usually seems to happen when I'm winning [IMG])

    ok, that's good to know.....

mystic - when you say 90% fine, what happened the other 10% of the time??

again, does anyone know why it corrupted that save file of mine before? is this something I should just test on a game by game basis?

    ALSO...

this is just a general WiFi question.... I can't seem to connect any DSs to my wireless router. I even tried it with games that are like... y'know... REAL. and it wouldn't work... I have to steal my neighbor's internet just to get it to work but the connection isn't as strong cuz they're far away.

I have a password on my wireless.... but I swear I've entered the password correctly like 10 times and it still gives me some error code like 50110 or something.... ANY IDEAS!?!? thanks =)

When your searching for players, sometimes it will just stop looking for no reason without a message. So, sometimes you have to restart your search a few times. (As opposed to when you just get disconnected, etc and it pops up a message)
