Hacking why ony 2 black strip thins over the pins?

how come AK2i's only have them black bars over 2 of the pins and not over every pin on the kart like a real DS game?

I believe they often say it improves contact, there's mention of it in one of the GBAtemp reviews somewhere. But I'm not sure I believe that.

I imagine it's for cost, and allows them to be more sloppy when they assemble it.

Save what ? Like 3 cents of plastic materials and 1cent of labour ? I'm pretty sure it's just about the contacts .... and an easier way to "clean" the contacts from dust.

Yeah I have a pubic hair in 1 of my DS games (it's actually a dog hair but I prefer to say pubic hair) I dunno how it got there. It's easier to clean with out the pins.
