the tegra x1s GPU can run at 1ghz but in docked mode it runs less then that and the cpu is also down clocked idk why they are making the switch weaker then the processor can handle in docked mode.

Heating issues would be my assumption. People have already reported their console warping in the dock, and I think even mine has slightly despite it always being fairly well ventilated.

I wonder with hacking if it would be possible to make it run at its maximum speed.

That is most likely exactly it. Without a better cooling system they probably can't run it any faster.
They could of put fans in the dock itself as well.

I found that I could make the system cool down alot if I left the back of the dock open so it gets more air. You could also add a fan as well.

It lasts about 3 hours. That's about standard for most portables in my experience. How much more do people want?

10 hours, PS4 Pro-like hardware and 4K resolution graphics. Don't forget, if it's not 4K 120 fps, it's automatically garbage. Holy cripes on toast, people have some asinine expectations :lol:
Clearly, the demographic for the Switch is not the one who gets their jollies from hyper-realistic graphics.

They're nostalgic for the days of 10+ hours on a single charge/set of batteries.

Literally no one has seriously said any of that. :l

it's called hyperbole, but there are people who piss and moan like impotent twits that the Switch can't run the same level as PS4.

Hyperbole is fine, but when you continuously state it as grounds for an argument it truly becomes redundant and rather arrogant.

Which never happened.

It's a very common thought and it's unfortunately backed up by recent tests. What they are doing wrong, however, is using modern batteries. They are a lot better than the ones produced decades ago.

On average, 4-5 hours was the norm.

Whatever you say. You clearly haven't seen the vicious comments on IGN. People need to grow a pair and accept the Switch for what it is.
