Gaming Why does FW 3.90 M-33 use the circle button as enter?

It's the opposite of what most games use, and I get really confused keeping track of when to use Circle and when to use X. Is there any way to change that in the settings or something?

yup, should be in recovery menu I think.

edit: one is jp style, the other is us style

Its in the recovery menu under Registry Hacks, change the button assign from O to X.

It has been the same for PS1 and PS2 games.
In all playstations O and X switch places depending on weather you are
playing a japanese game or not.
For some odd reason, Japan uses O for confirmation and english games use X.

I had the same problem recently as well, and not just with 3.90 M33, my new PSP had the problem, my old one didn't. Quite awkward. :S

I think it has to do with what guide you followed as well, since you download the 'registry' folder with the bin with the one in the sticky, whereas my first PSP had it made from someone I know.
