Hacking Why do people bother with headers?

Well, do remember, there's a good chunk of officially released games that can be purchased/downloaded through the eshop. If there is no mechanism to check your ticket.db...well, they have no way of knowing (for those games anyway). As has already been proven, they can certainly see gateway cards, probably because the cart itself uses some faked header information iirc.

I always use header because of everything that have been said and because the Gateway card kind of sucks: fragmentation errors, read errors, etc.

That has nothing to do with gateway card but rather the microsd card and bad rom dumps
