All the DRM and security count for nothing. A 35kb crack came out the second day. Just replace one .exe file and you're done, no more securom. Hardly worth all the fuss and bother that all paying customers have to put up with.

Anywho, I've just started playing Far Cry 2 and I think it's pretty cool. Quite a unique experience and it runs great on my rig. The atmosphere is great. This is turning into what I wanted Stalker to be. It's open, atmospheric and unlike stalker, this game has polish and a great engine.

My setup is:

2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo
2GB DDR2 RAM
8800GT

All settings on High or Very High except for shadows, which is on medium (gives a big boost in fps). It's running nice and smooth for me. Here's some pics:

Hmm I have similar rig nice to hear that it runs so well I thnik if I get it i'll pick it up for PC rather than 360

i bought this game on x360 and it's great fun! map editor is cool as well. i was having fun stacking 100 explosive barrels on top of each other and balancing a jeep on top. you already guessed what happens next.

Downloading on Steam now. Taking forever though, as the game thinks it's fully downloaded (I have to 'Launch Game...', then it updates).
Hopefully I'll be able to play this by tomorrow
