I really want a game I can play the whole night

I'll throw in my 2 cents for The Orange Box. Five games (Half Life 2 with Episodes 1 and 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal). Otherwise, Borderlands or Bioshock.

Orange box or Fallout 3. Not even a question here! Orange box has so much value its almost sickening. Not only 4 amazing single player games but an addicting multiplayer. And fallouts really long and will last you a while.

Bioshock 2, Left 4 Dead 1/2, Gears of War 1/2, Final Fantasy XIII, Bad Company 2. They seem to fit into the genres that you like. Personally I am loving FF13 but you have to get far into it (2nd disc or so) before it picks up. I haven't played Bad Company 2 yet but a friend of mine says it's much better than the first one.

just cause 2, or far cry 2.

both are open world games where you do as you please.

resonance of fate should last people awhile.

mass effect is a good 40 hours the first time if you explore.

Lost odyssey is a fantastic rpg

and burnout paradise

The Assassin's Creed games are amazing imo. Dynasty warriors 6, 6 empires, and strikeforce are good. dragon age origins. and dante's inferno or darksiders =]

Re FF13 it was good but I am now enjoying Resonance of Fate so much more.

BC2- having only played the single player I am unable to speak for the multiplayer but "I really want a game I can play the whole night" you can do it but it would be one maybe two nights you do that for.

BFBC2 is AMAZING! but VERY different from MW2, more strategy and sneakin around then run and gun. But the destroyable environment, absolutely amazing, gives an amazing feel to the game. im thinking of getting FFXII soon, gfx look great, but i dont have 3 DL Discs, have to restock

not to mention im at my bandwidth limit for the month

Bad Company 2 is all about multiplayer... the story line is quite long, but well lets see, i'd describe it with the word "weak" .

Was able to play a bit online, wasn't bad and it can be very fun.
