3.0.0 is the target firmware however you can update the 2.3.0 unit to 3.0.0 with Pokken Tournament DX so update the 3.0.0 unit for normal use.

Are these their FW versions out of the box? It's contrary to popular opinion, but I would recommend keeping the newer system as your "backup". If it came on 3.0.0, just leave it there.

The reasoning is, the launch units had a lot of problems. The older the system is, the more likely you will have to send it in for repair. And if you have to send it in for repair, your FW is gone. So I would fully update the older system, such that even if you have to send it for a repair, you don't lose anything.

As far as I know they haven't actually made any hardware changes so it shouldn't matter.

Update the one with the Zelda saves/DLC.
If you don't have Zelda (why??) update the one with the longest saves.

This is the course of action I would take, especially as the second DLC pack will no doubt require updating to the latest firmware anyway.

I would suggest dont update both. Sell one at retail price, help a brother out to get fw <3.0. With that money buy a second hand switch bundle with games which will likely be less than retail price.

that's even better, keep the free games, sell the switch at retail price. no hurt in trying. people will buy if they are interested.
scalping is a bad practice but i would say selling a desired firmware console at a retail price would be the way to go. what more could you ask, u already got 4 free games anyway + funds for future games if u manage to sell it at retail. congrats! haha

ROhan just happen to be the first exploit released. It only works on 3.0.0, but there might be better (or equal) exploits coming for lower firmware. So best advice is to stay as low as possible. If it turns out the best stuff only comes out on 3.0.0, there will always be the option to buy, rent, borrow or steal that Pokken Tournament game to update to 3.0.0.

That may be so but if you can’t downgrade but you can upgrade then stay as low as possible, console hacking 101.
