Hacking which microsd is the best?

plain old 1 or 2 gig.

i plan on getting a new microsdhc card from newegg, and from looking at microsd prices, i can get a kingston 1gb for like $3.30, and if im already shipping something else, they probably could put them both in the same box...

which microsd has the best compatability, and overall speed? i have heard that microsd has worked better with PoR and DoS

The consensus seems to be that Japanese made cards (such as Kingston) are superior to American made cards. For the majority of the time that I've been involved with DS homebrew I've been using a Sandisk with mixed results.. Games like TWEWY and Worms Open Warfare 2 crash at certain points with the Sandisk, but work fine with a Kingston card that I just got. Speed rating is an important factor as well, the higher the better; also, not all flash cards work with the high capacity micro SD cards so you might want to look into that as well. All in all in my limited experience Kingston seems to be a good choice. Hope this helps

I suggest getting a 2 GB, you never know when you'll need the extra space. This is the one I have

It's a 2 GB, so far it has served me well.

nah, ill just get a 1gig, i dont need the extra space if i have 2x4gig ones, the 1gig would just be or homebrew/problem games

not sure about newegg but the 4GB I bought on amazon was JP
you just have to take a chance with it but since this isnt SDHC it shouldnt matter that much
