I'm trying to figure out which emulators I should use with my setup. I have a 9.2 N3DS running 9.5 emunand and rxtools. Right now I'm stuck on super nintendo. I know that catsfc has better performance vs better sound of catsfc plus, and both seem to do better than Blargsnes 1.3 on some games. I obviously haven't tested the entire SNES library with all 3 emulators, and was hoping to get some input from those more experienced.

Retroarc emulators are doing pretty good.

Yes, however there are 3 emus for NES, 3 for SNES, two different GBA... I wish there were a compatibility list per console telling which emu and which settings to use to run each game the best.

Or you could just try them. They all have pros and cons. CatSFC and gpSP is the best SNES and GBA emulator for n3DS.

I could easily spend days playing each of my hundreds of games in each emulator with every setting combo for each of them. I can think of about 20 other things I'd rather be doing. So is there a compatibility list that has that info? I googled it but came up short.

No, because RetroArch is constantly evolving and updating every day and it's on so many platforms with their own unique problems that maintaining a compatibly list is impossible. Just run the game you want to play. If it works, great! If it doesn't, try the next one.

I'm on a N3DS, but I still have some performance issues. That being said, I've found CatSFC to give me the best performance, and mostly all games besides those that use special chips seem to work fine. NEStopia is rather good too, as well as Gambette for GBC (though research suggests that VC injection might be the better path to go for NES/GBC). GENS is decent too, as is Picodrive (Genesis[Megadrive]/SegaCD[MegaCD]). No matter what, don't expect super great speeds. You may not even get playable speeds. Best bet is to try them all with a few of your favorite games and see which one performs the most satisfactorily.

I'd say a good 80% of roms run full speed on n3DS. :P

Aye, that they do. Some ROMs still have a few issues. Super Metroid and related ROM hacks, for example, have some major slowdown while saving or loading, but otherwise run fine. In fact, my only issue is Kirby Super Star. Stupid SA1 chip. :P

How about gambette vs gameyob? Both seem to run most games rather well, though I don't know if there are any games that gambette has issues with, since "there is no compatibility list".

I enjoy features such as borders and alternate color palettes that gameyob has, but gambette has some options that gameyob doesn't have.

I can't comment on GameYob unfortunately, as I've never used it.

You're too lazy to, yet you expect others to do it instead?

It's not that I'm lazy, it's just that there are more important things that I need to use my time for. I have a life and other obligations that demand my attention, but I'm sure that does not apply to everyone.

    I'll just leave this here.

Other projects have compatibility lists created by multiple members of their respective following. But let's not argue semantics.

I already explained why that isn't possible with RetroArch...

Other projects are just one emulator.

Then why not treat each emulator as just that. My original point was that I'm trying to decide which is the best to go with. I don't want to have multiple emulators for the same console taking up space and creating confusion for myself (and also for those whose systems I hack) Can you relate to that point?
