My vote is on ReiNAND. Why? Because I found it easier to use and it has MSET support on New3DS (which I'm currently using).

you say you use the MSET method on a N3DS but the OP says its a WIP.

Hi everyone! I'm fairly new to this forum and 3ds hacking.
After trying out different CFWs I stayed on ReiNAND cfw with n3ds sysnand 9.0 + free multi patcher.
It's great! Boots fast from ds profile (no need for cubic or sky3ds) and no need for emunand! (best part)
Patched binding of isaac and other cia backups run fine with region free.

Only thing reiNAND is missing - pastaCFW like 9.5 firmlaunch mode for sysnand.
You can use 'emunand' for 9.5 but I dislike having two firmwares, messy ._.

You need to use latest version of FBI, it has option after pressing select then cycling left for installing reiNAND mset for 4.x, make sure reiNand.dat is present on sd.
