Hello everyone! I want to buy a 2ds in order to install cfw on it without a flashcart, is there any 2ds I can buy that will for sure have a system version low enough to hack without using a flashcart? Thank you for your help!

No. The oldest one there exists is the Mario kart bundle that comes on 11.4. why waste $70 when you can waste $10

I would just buy the one you want and buy a flash cart. they are very inexpensive.

Edit: Honestly, the ntr boot method is ALOT easier to get done compared to other methods once you factor in what you're buying. plus you get the 2ds that you actually want.

I got the 2DS XL and have ordered my flashcart. CFW via flashcart is very easy so I'm excited to do it! (Will be writing my experience on here)

Easy answer. Dont buy cheap ass 2ds. Buy a 3ds either standard new one or xl one.
Quality of materials and manufacture is way above the 2ds line.

Adding to this, if you don't anticipate using the 3D - get the 2DS XL. It is the same as the 3DS XL without the 3D capability (AFAIK)!

No. Its a lesser console in all aspects.

I think he means the "new" 2DS XL
it's of lower build quality speaker are facing your palms and cameras are in the bottom half instead of in the lid.
other than that it has the same power as a new 3ds, just cheaper. I upgrade my old 3ds to one and I'm very satisfied. it has good colors despite being a TN panel.

New one is even worse than the olds. It feels like itll turn to dust when opening

Sorry - build quality of the new 2DS XL is different however what I meant was internal specs are all just as powerful. For that reason I don't see why you would buy a 3DS XL (of course unless you want the 3D features).
Spending an extra ~£50 for build quality isn't what I'd do personally though - my 2DS XL feels fine for me, does the job

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
