I've already been scammed by modchipstore.com. I feel stupid, but I learned from that experience at least.

Where should I buy a cycloDS? I really don't want to get scammed again. Price is no object, as long as I'm going to get the modchip for sure, and they have some kind of responsive customer service.

Thanks.

For 1, the CycloDS is NOT a modchip. Second, the CycloDS is one of the WORST flashcarts out there. Third, www.dealextreme.com has the lowest prices around, shipment tracking, and I bought my AK2i there

I said the same thing a few months ago...How is the Cyclo one of the worst flashcarts?

OP: Dealextreme still sells them; it's the only one you'll find on the site.

If you think a CycloDS is one of the WORST flashcarts out there you are either stupid or a noob.

oh yeah, this is definitely one of the worst carts out there.. I absolutely hate never having to patch my games and the near impossible-ness of actually using this cart.. It's definitely the worst out there.. But seriously, dealextreme is the cheapest you'll find it. I got both mine from there, I had to wait 3 months for the second one. and I've been waiting 6 months for my other DSL top screen from them...

Since money is no object to you send some to me.

I wouldn't say Cyclo is a bad cart just overpriced. It has good support and is definetly one of the best carts for the DS but when will they ever make a DSi version?

(IMHO I would never buy one but I'm cheap

There are a lot of people that would disagree with that second statement. Instead of starting another debate as to "which is the best flashcart" (as there are enough of those), I'm just going to suggest that you buy a CycloDS. Before long you'll wish you'd have done that sooner.

First of all, thanks to everyone for helping me.

Secondly, I think I may have misspoke.

Is the difference between a flashcart and a modchip:
Flashcart: You stick it in your DS whenever you want to use the homebrewz or whatever.

Modchip: You have to void your warranty.

If that's the difference, then I wanted a flashcart. Haha.

That's a simplistic way to think about it, but I suppose it is correct.

There are no modchips for the DS that would do anything very useful over a flashcart anyway (I think there was an old one that let you remap buttons for GBA games and stuff, but you can't buy it anymore). It's all about flashcarts when it comes to the DS.

Ok, then one last question. I have one of the really old first edition chubby DS's. Will it work with that?

DX's flashcards are back store?
give me a link of r4i gold, I cant find any r4i at DX,

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.29384

The CycloDS was never removed when the flashcart removal happened a while back.

As for the R4i I think it is still removed. I think it is ndscardsale.com that is the DX flashcart medium nowadays..
