I'm planning to preorder on Best Buy as first option and Nintendo as backup option.

Fortunately, I met all of Nintendo's 3 strict rules to preorder.

The thing is though, nsp might not be something I care about unless switch is also going to be nsp, might be called something else. Right now though I’m really not interested. The price has to definitely drop for me to consider getting a switch 2.

When they start selling used one. We will probably have to buy the US version which is 450$ but since they don't sell it here in Vietnam, it will probably be around 600$ at launch when someone can get their hand on it. Also since Nintendo impose the anti scrapper tactics, there wouldn't be a lots of Sw2 here either. Consider most Vietnamese make around 300$ a months, only some rich brat can get their hand on one at launch.

I said I was getting it at launch a few months ago so I'm going to stick with that. Truthfully I'm rather happy with what was announced and don't really have any complaints about the system as of yet.

At that price plus no 2nd hand market for games that are overpriced, maybe never.

The market is pushing hard for full digital, AKA you will own nothing and will be happy (!), so i think my days of purchasing new consoles are over.

Has a non rich person, i buy most of my games 2nd hand or in huge promos. The Switch 2 its not a system for people like me. Using an American expression: "too rich for my blood".

I guess i will keep playing my Switch one OLED and buying some old games i never played (same goes for my Xbox Series X)

If Switch 2 is hacked, so it would likely require mod chip unless there is miracle that allow you to hack with simple method like paper clip.

Probably never, will be getting a Steam Deck instead. This is the first Nintendo console I've ever planned to skip - I've had them all since the NES (even the Virtual Boy!). I'll miss the Marios and Zeldas, but the pricing is like buying a PS5 at this point, and I'm good with just one walled garden platform.
