Hacking Whats the best cIOS to use?

well i'm on cIOS rev9 and i am using the USB Loader GX ive heard so much different stuff on which one to use and i am yet to come to a solution so which is the best and most stable cIOS to use? rev9, 10, 12, 13, 13b??

Don't change anything yet. I'm the same Rev9 + GX, I've been following the new cIOS and if u don't happen to know that u need something special more, just keep it as it is, it is the winning combination.

everything works on rev 9 and 10, but on 12, 13, and 13b dvd dumper code dumps might be something to do with it being based off of ios 38 instead of 36.

cIOS36 rev 11 for me. Until 13 or 14 is worked out.
I can't say it enough.

rev11 has nothing new over rev10 tho, i'm stayin at rev9, most stable and bugfree (10 has no advantage over 9, as usbloadergx loads covers on its own for example)

Thinking about going back to rev 10.
That one worked best for me

rev11 has nothing new over rev10

Doesn't it have support for USB peripherals and LU64+ Wiis?

Does this mean that ISO's from DVD Dumper on rev13b won't work on a Wii with rev9?

Im on rev 10, works well for me, did try 13 but had probs so rolled back.
I do have aquestion why have we gone from rev 10 using cios26 and 12/13 using cios38, whats difference?
Should I reinstall my original cios38 also

No you don't need to reinstall anything. It moved from 36 to 38 I think because 38 had some stuff for usb peripherals in it that was used. None of these cios revisions actually touch the ios36/38 that's on your wii, it makes a revision of it and installs that revision to ios249.

Hi every ones,

I tried many config but the best is rev 10 then rev 12 + 4 update (wanikoko) + IOS 60 Patch and Loader Gx from SD (+forwarder) so it can update frequently

Everything is working HDD different type of 2,5" ATA SATA 20 Go 40 Go 160 250...
Microphone is working too on upper slot USB No lag with sing it boogey and so on...

Metroid does not ask for disk to play...

No other game i tested from HDD 117 different games are hanging or laging (big HDD of a friend, mine is 20 Go for 5/7 games that i have originals but my kids were ruining them) I think this is the real need of HDD. I will ask for animal crossing ang try the story of 50 minutes play and then hang....

All my stuff are origninaly Waninkoko from his site and method from GBAtemp (for CIOS60 patch)

I did 7 Wiis that way, none had problem or brick... Lately, I skip preloader 029...

You don;t have to install 10 then 12....that step is just pointless. Just install 12.

My Wii uses cIOS38 rev13b and USB Loader GX 1.0 r457.
So far everything works great and whenever i get a game that wont start or install il just update USB Loader GX to latest version.
But using the newest builds may give you code dumps so be careful to backup the older version before updating USB Loader GX.

That's wrong!
On rev10 USB accesoires won't work.

and as rev12 has some bugs I would consider rev13 as the cIOS to use as cios249
I don't get any issues with any rev13

For you guys that got a loader that can handle ios 222 then I would recommend cios rev11 (made by Hermes)
as the best, for now.
